Afriku are Africa-centric verses of the Japanese poetic form, haiku. The poems here use the genre to speak about the continent's sights and sounds - a re-imagining of people and places that often fall prey to negative stereotypes.
In 2025, I collaborated with the Africa Haiku Network to curate the first-ever anthology of Afriku.
