I'm interested in how language, materiality, and imagery can distance us from what is not visible, or draw us closer to it. If only for a fleeting moment, I hope the creative expressions you find here bring you into relationship with people and places that may feel faraway, but to which we intimately belong.

My work is shaped by a long career working in the aid sector, daily observations of the natural world, and the particulars of my Kenyan roots and Indian heritage. One long-running project is making jewelry with Kenyan artisans. It is a collaboration guided by the joy of making and learning together.
